The Celtic managerial search continues, and it looks like it could drag on over the international break. Kjetil Knutsen is currently leading the betting, but Wilfried Nancy is not far behind as UK betting sites struggle to split the two favourites.

Who are the favourites to be the next Celtic manager?
Kjetil Knutsen is the new favourite to become the next Celtic manager according to the latest odds from betting sites. He would be a very good choice for the club. Knutsen is the current manager of Bodo/Glimt, and has built a big reputation whilst managing the club, winning over 200 matches out of the 350 he has currently taken charge of. He has managed the side in all European competitions, and now has them in the Champions League, where they drew to Spurs.
Wilfried Nancy is a now second favourite. He was 10/1 over the weekend but his odds have shortened massively, with the Frenchman now 5/2 to take over at the Bhoys. Nancy has managed Montreal and is the current manager of Columbus in the MLS. They were knocked out of the MLS play-offs last weekend so the season is now over for the club. Nancy has managed Columbus 136 times, winning 71 matches and would bring some good qualities to Celtic. Despite this, questions no doubt will be asked around his experience as he has never managed away from the US or Canada, so he does feel like a risky appointment.
Martin O’Neill was the current favourite to be the next Celtic manager after a 4-0 victory over Falkirk and a 3-1 win against Rangers in the League Cup semi-final. The 73-year-old is now the third favourite after Celtic lost 3-1 to FC Midtjylland, and that’s no surprise, as it has raised clear concerns over how far O’Neill could take them.
Kieran McKenna was the most popular option in the early stages of betting for Celtic’s new manager. McKenna is generally accepted to have worked wonders in his time at Ipswich, taking them from League One to the Premier League, and not disgracing themselves despite ultimately suffering relegation. McKenna has been linked with several high-profile English Premier League jobs and seems to be comfortable at Ipswich as he tries to get them promoted back to the Premier League. Despite this, the opportunity of titles and European football could tempt him, but for now, it seems like other options are being considered.
