Strasbourg manager Leroy Rosenior is the new favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge, as pressure continues to mount on current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea had looked like dark horses to mount a title challenge barely a month ago, but their form has tailed off badly since then, recording just one win in their last seven Premier League matches.
Indeed, with fans turning on the board, and rumours of a tense relationship between the board and Maresca, bookmakers have suspended betting on the Italian becoming the next Premier League manager to be shown the door.
Chelsea next manager betting odds
Given the links between Chelsea and Strasbourg, it shouldn’t be too surprising to see Ligue 1 manager Liam Rosenior listed as favourite to be installed as The Blues’ new manager. Rosenior had been available to back at 8/1 only yesterday afternoon. However his odds have been repeatedly cut, and he’s now no bigger than 15/8 to step in.
Xavi Hernandez had previously led the betting to become Chelsea’s next manager. The Spaniard has been out of work since being relieved of his duties in May 2024, and odds of 8/1 suggest he’s still very much in contention.
Of the contenders currently managing in the Premier League, it’s Oliver Glasner, Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva who feature most prominently, while Frank Lampard is also listed amongst the leading contenders after rebuilding his reputation at Championship league leaders Coventry City.
