Strictly Come Dancing is looking for a pair of new presenters after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced they’d be leaving the popular BBC show at the end of the current series. In a joint statement, the duo confirmed, “We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time. We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show”.

The departures of Tess and Claudia will leave a huge gap to fill, given Tess has been a Saturday night regular since way back in 2004, initially co-presenting the show with Bruce Forsyth before Claudia stepped in after 2013.
Given Claudia previously presented the spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two, it’s little surprise to see current presenters Janette Manrara and Fleur East among the leading contenders, alongside former hosts Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark.
Former Strictly winners Stacey Dooley and Alesha Dixon also feature prominently in the latest betting, while Roman Kemp sits alongside Rylan, should the BBC decide to reintroduce a male host.
Should the BBC decide to go for a host without historic links to Strictly, Hannah Waddingham could be the woman they turn to. She impressed as one of a trio of presenters when fronting Eurovision in 2023, and her odds have been cut from 7/1 to 7/2 over the course of the weekend.
