Wolves are still searching for a new manager to replace Vitor Pereira and it looks like their attention has turned to Rob Edwards, with him leading the betting by a clear margin at UK Betting sites. Some of the other favourites to replace the Portuguese manager include Erik ten Hag and Robbie Keane, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer becoming a new favourite overnight.

Who are the favourites to be the next Wolves manager?

Rob Edwards is now the clear favourite according to UK betting sites. He was 2/1 to take the Wolves job, but now he is as short as 4/9. Edwards managed to get Luton promoted to the Premier League, which was a huge achievement, but they were relegated in their first season in the top flight. Despite this, he produced some strong performances with the Hatters and may do better with a stronger squad. He also has ties to Wolves as he began his coaching career in their academy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now the second favourite. The former Manchester United manager was not one of the favourites yesterday, but is now a new contender following some movement in the betting markets overnight which now sees him in the running. The Norwegian has managed Cardiff, Molde and Besiktas, with the Turkish club his most recent job. It wasn’t great at Besiktas as he was sacked after 29 matches. He had a good time at Man United and was great at improving the morale of the squad, which is something Wolves desperately need right now.

Erik ten Hag was the favourite earlier this week at 5/2, but he is now 12/1. Reports suggest that he could be tempted by the job to improve his reputation in England. He did well with Manchester United at the start of his career at Old Trafford and even won them an FA Cup, but his performances started to drop, and he was eventually sacked after leaving the Red Devils in the bottom half of the table. His next job was at Bayer Leverkusen, but he was sacked after just two league matches.

The Dutchman has definitely shown top qualities when managing Ajax and during part of his time in the Premier League, but there are huge question marks as to whether he is ready for a relegation battle.

Robbie Keane is the third favourite, with the Irishman also one of the favourites for the vacant position at Celtic. Keane has had assistant manager jobs at Leeds, Middlesbrough and Ireland. He was the head manager at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he took charge of 53 matches and he is currently in charge of Ferencvaros. The risk with Keane is his lack of managerial experience in the Premier League, but he has shown some positives over the years and looks to be in the running.
