Semi-final may take time to catch fire
Nottingham Forest and Manchester City clash at Wembley on Sunday hoping to secure a place in next month’s FA Cup final and it looks like it could be a game which does not get off to a fast start.
The teams have differing experience in the FA Cup, with Forest having reached the last four for the first time since 1991, while City have the impressive record of being semi-finalists in eight of the last nine seasons.
Honours are even between the two in the Premier League this season, with City having won their first meeting at the Etihad in December, while Forest came out on top 1-0 at the City Ground last month.
City are back up to third in the table, a point ahead of Forest, but neither teams have been particularly fast starters lately.
Pep Guardiola’s side have led at half-time in just three of their last 12 games and Forest have been ahead at the interval in just three of their last 11, so take a chance that Sunday’s showdown will be level at the end of the first half.

Forest corner count is surprisingly low
Despite their lofty league position, Forest average the fourth lowest number of corners in the top-flight, with only strugglers Wolves, Ipswich and Leicester mustering fewer than their average of 4.03 per game.
Less of a shock is that City conceded the second fewest, after Arsenal, with just 3.38 per match, so don’t anticipate a glut of flag-kicks for the Tricky Trees.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had three when they beat City on the banks of the Trent last month and just two in their 3-0 loss at the Etihad in December, so back them not to get a total of four inside 90 minutes at Wembley.

Marmoush could have a big role to play
There are three bets for the match that can be put together to form a BetBuilder that will pay out at 17/2 should it be successful.
City forward Omar Marmoush has had to step up following a season-ending injury to Erling Haaland and, after a couple of quiet performances, the Egyptian should be looking to rise to the occasion.
He had 11 shots on target in four games before the recent wins over Everton and Aston Villa and can have more than one at Wembley.
Stand-in full-back Matheus Nunes has committed 12 fouls in his last seven games and the likely intensity of this occasion should see him at the heart of the action again.
He has picked up three bookings during that period and could commit at least two indiscretions in the course of 90 minutes.
Complete the selection by backing City to score more than one goal. Should they get into the lead, the game could become stretched, leaving Forest vulnerable to conceding a second time.
