It’s official. Oasis are reuniting. The iconic British band announced their reunion on August 27 and will be embarking on a reunion tour in 2025. The Gallagher brothers will be playing 14 shows in the UK and Ireland with tickets going on sale on August 31.
Oasis were at the peak of their powers in the 1990s, defining the Britpop genre alongside Blur. They delivered multiple No. 1 albums and picked up two Grammy awards and six BRITs.
The band was also characterised by ego clashes between the Gallagher brothers – Noel and Liam – and it all came to a head in August 2009 when Noel quit the band after they cancelled their scheduled performance at the Rock en Seine festival. The two brothers went separate ways, achieving success but it was nothing close to what they achieved as Oasis.
Considering the huge legacy that Oasis left, their reunion of course has been a major talking point and fans, young and old, are excited about the band performing together again.
