The Stayers’ Hurdle is the feature race on day three of the Cheltenham Festival, with last year’s winner Bob Olinger and runner-up Teahupoo returning for another clash in a competitive field of 11.
Both are respected, but age and conditions could leave them vulnerable, suggesting a new contender may emerge in this year’s renewal. Ryanair Chase (Thursday, 4:00pm)
The Ryanair Chase is another key contest on day three, with defending champion Fact To File returning after his recent victory in the Irish Gold Cup. On form he sets the standard, but his record shows he can be vulnerable, making the race more open than the market suggests.
