Jobe Bellingham is the latest exciting talent to emerge at Sunderland, and his good performances have created attention around the starlet. He has been linked to Manchester United but former Manchester United star Paul Parker has urged him not to rush his next move.
Jobe Bellingham is the brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham’s brother. Despite this, Jobe is about to make a name for himself. He was one of Sunderland’s best players last season, and the young midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
We had the pleasure of speaking to Paul Parker, who shared his thoughts on both Jobe and Jude Bellingham, and he is not necessarily jumping on the hype train.
Jobe Bellingham should not rush with a move to Man United
Despite having done well for Sunderland, Parker urges Jobe Bellingham to stay at Sunderland to develop even more, and in that way get his big move later.
“Jobe really tries to play like his brother. He is making the same runs, has the same stature, they are almost identical. The media and his agent are trying to link him to Man United, But his agent is not only looking after him, he is mostly going to do everything he can for his brother.”
“Jobe has done well for Sunderland. I am not going to take anything away from him, but he has the future ahead of him. He shouldn’t rush to get a move for Manchester United that he isn’t ready for.”
“Sunderland have started this season very well and he should be pleased with that. He should stay there and develop, and one day, maybe, he will make a big move, but I don’t think his brother is necessarily a good example, despite having done so well. The career path Jude has taken is not for everyone.”
Jude Bellingham can disappear very quickly just like Theo Walcott
Jude Bellingham has been one of the best players in the world for some time already despite his young age, but Parker believes that he could disappear very quickly if he is not careful. Parker has urged the media to be more patient with him.
“Jude has done very well, but I don’t think he needs all this attention, looking at how he is conducting himself on the pitch. Everyone is trying to make him bigger than he is and make him into something that he is not. I heard people saying he is a better midfielder for England than Bryan Robson was. That’s the status they are trying to give him already.”
“The English media are crazy in that sense. They are not respecting his age. It’s not easy for him, and he can disappear very quickly like we saw with Theo Walcott.”
The Bellingham brothers are entertaining the football world and it will be fascinating to watch them both develop. It will also be interesting to see if Jobe Bellingham will get a big move over the next few years.
