Changes abound at Manchester United. Richard Arnold stepped down as CEO and Director of Football John Murtough is expected to follow.

The changes are likely to impact the future of players whose contracts are up at the end of the season. This includes the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Sofyan Amrabat and more.

We talked to ex Manchester United star Paul Parker who gave his view on whether the players should be kept or let go.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

“Aaron Wan-Bissaka – keep. He’s proved himself. He wants to make a point, he wants a Manchester United career and he’s dug himself from somewhere.”

“A lot of that goes down to the manager and himself as well and how he’s come back. And he’s been consistent since he’s come back. He’s tried to improve his game, the attacking side of it. He’s more of a patient defender than what he was when he arrived. He lived off the slide tackle. Now his defending has gotten better. He’s staying on his feet and his positioning has gotten better.”

“He’s the best right-back at Man Utd at this given time. So, I think they should try and keep him.”

Victor Lindelof

“If Lindelof wants to stay then you’ve got somebody who’s honest. Someone who can come in and do a job. Somebody who’s happy to do that and someone who seems like a nice, honest person.”

“I certainly wouldn’t be pushing him out of the door. The ones who have been kept in the door by giving ludicrous contracts to, there’s a lot more of them than Victor Lindelof’s at the club.”

Sofyan Amrabat

“Amrabat, you’ll have to let him go. If you’re talking about how it’s looking at the moment with the sports side being brought up and you look at what the intentions are for next season, which is a vast improvement on this season, I would say no.”

“After the loan’s done, he goes back.”

Manchester United are set to return to action this weekend, as they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. The Red Devils are priced at 11/8 on Betfair to come out on top, and be sure to use the Betfair promo code when signing up, as they have a great sign-up offer for new customers, as well as being one of the best betting sites in the business.

Sergio Reguilon

“That’s a tough one because he’s played like somebody who really wants to prove a point. There’s a few times when he should have started and he didn’t start. Before he got his injury, he looked fine, he looked hungry.”

“The way Luke Shaw is and you already have Malacia. So having three left-backs seems a lot to me. So from that point of view, I’m going to have to say no.”

Hannibal Mjebri

“Hannibal has to be a yes but he hasn’t been given enough time to really prove himself.”

“He might decide to take it upon himself and say no I don’t want to be there cause I’m not going to get what I want.”

“He’s got an opportunity to maybe play for another Premier League club or maybe play for a club in the Championship with aspirations to play in the Premier League.”

“Hannibal is a hungry player who will definitely do himself justice at another club like he did with Birmingham City.”

Anthony Martial

“Anthony Martial – no.”

Jonny Evans

“Jonny Evans, I’m going to say no only on the pretext that you want to step up a bit further and you’ll have to bring in someone younger who can be there for the future.

“You look at it again where you want to be next season and it doesn’t show any aspirations if you keep Jonny Evans on.

“As a person, as someone to have around, you’d have him around all day long.”

Tom Heaton

“No, not all really.

“They’ve got the Turkish goalkeeper. I saw a montage of him and everything about him suggests he’s decent.

“Tom Heaton. He’s been around. It’s good for an old boy to come back again but no, not for the future.”
