Marcus Rashford scored a brilliant goal against Manchester City, but both him and Bruno Fernandes have been criticised heavily by the fanbase the last couple of weeks.
We spoke to former Man United player Paul Parker, who accuses Marcus Rashford of being totally disengaged in football, just as he also slams Bruno Fernandes for lack of leadership, despite being the captain of Manchester United.
Bruno Fernandes is a pain in the neck
Parker says that Bruno Fernandes is lacking leadership, just as he mentions he is tired of Bruno Fernandes always chasing the referees, which makes him a pain in the neck.
“There are a lot of fanboys in modern football. I have never really understood that word before now. A lot of those fanboys are praising Bruno Fernandes for his hard work, but what they aren’t seeing is that, yes, he is running a lot, but he is being extremely undisciplined.
“He is supposed to be a leader but he is blaming everybody else when things aren’t going his way. He is very erratic in everything he does, he is throwing his arm around and he is chasing referees all the time.
“I don’t like the referees, but he should stop doing it. He is going on their nerves, and they are just reacting like a normal human being, because he is being a pain in the neck.
“He is throwing himself to the ground. We saw that against Fulham as well, he is a cheater. The problem is that the referees very often allow this, but he shouldn’t be doing it anyway. It’s pathetic and ridiculous.”
Fernandes and his Manchester United team-mates are set to return to action this weekend, when they host Everton at Old Trafford, in what should be a routine win for the Red Devils. Rashford let his teammates down
“It was a textbook goal. It was incredible. But it’s like life in general, once you get to the top of something, the hardest bit is to keep it going and he didn’t keep it going. He went back.
“He went back to normality, threatening to jump, threatening to make a tackle. He thought he’d done enough when he scored a goal In my opinion, he thought that was enough to convince people. And it’s not.
👀”People now are looking at Rashford’s general game and his game just isn’t good enough” Although United legend@realpaulparker2 appreciates Rashford’s wonder strike last weekend he wasn’t impressed with the rest of his performance #Rashford #ManchesterUnited pic.twitter.com/pNAsxg86vU

Parker praised Rashford for his beautiful goal against Manchester City, however he was disappointed by the attacker’s attitude in the remaining part of the match, even saying the Englishman let his family and teammates down.
“People now are looking at his general game and his game just isn’t isn’t good enough. Nowhere near good enough in terms of what you would expect on the best paid and, the most prominent player at Manchester United.
“The reason why he got this paid is maybe because of what he’d done, his goal scoring and the fact that he is English.
“He’s a high profile English player, and all he’s doing is going and letting himself down, but more importantly, letting his family down and his teammates down.”
Rashford is totally disengaged in football
If you thought Parker was done, you’re wrong. He continues his rant by saying Rashford looks like a person who is totally disengaged in football, and he even urges the star to leave Manchester United.
“We are just talking about a person who is disengaged with football. Totally disengaged. If he was playing in the first division or below, doing what he is doing now, his teammates would grab him around his throat. They have mortgage and other bills to be paid and they would not rely on a teammate who is just walking around the pitch.
“It looks like he doesn’t like football. He was a high profile player but it has gone to his head. Football is what gave him the recognition off the pitch, but it looks like he would prefer not to be a footballer anymore.
“The best thing for Marcus Rashford and Manchester United would probably be if he moved on to another club. It would be better for his mental health for him to move on.
“He should try to have a life away from Manchester just ro realise that he would never get away with what he is doing at this club.
“Wherever he goes, he will be questioned a lot. The fans will question his enthusiasm and people within the club will question him as well. His teammates will question him. They won’t believe that they are there to help them.”
