PFA Player of the Year Betting Odds: Arsenal quartet battling Haaland for award

Contributor: Michael Austen Image ID: BM8Y96

There are quite a few Premier League stars who will believe that they will be in the running for the PFA Player of the Year awards after excellent starts to the 2025/26 season. Erling Haaland is the clear favourite at UK betting sites, but four Arsenal stars are in the running and hoping they will beat the Norwegian to the award.

You won’t be surprised to hear that those in the running to win this award are from the ‘Big 6’ clubs, with Arsenal and Manchester City dominating the show. Haaland is the current favourite, but he is followed by four Arsenal stars. Fellow Man City team mate Jeremy Doku is also among the favourites, alongside Moises Caicedo.

Who are the favourites to win the PFA Player of the Year Award?

Erling Haaland is the current clear favourite as things stand and this should be no shock as the forward has had a brilliant start to the season. Haaland has featured 17 times in all competitions this campaign and he has already scored 19 goals. It has been a great start to the season for the Norwegian international, who has scored 14 of the 24 goals that Man City have managed in the Premier League this campaign. If he continues this goalscoring record it would no doubt be very hard to catch him.

There are a quartet of Arsenal stars chasing the Man City striker. Gabriel is 10/1, whilst Declan Rice is and Bukayo Saka are 9/1. Eberechi Eze is 20/1 All four are having solid seasons, especially Gabriel and Rice, who have been key in helping the Gunners dominate the Champions League and also in the Premier League, where they are first and six points clear of Man City in second place.

If Arsenal can win the Premier League or even the Champions League, then you would expect one of their players to win the PFA Player of the Year Award. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is also seen as an outsider to win the award, but with his poor form this season and Liverpool inconsistent, it would be very surprising to see him win the award.
