Premier League 25/26 Outright Betting Tips

Liverpool have had the chequebook out over the summer in an attempt to strengthen their stranglehold at the top and bookmakers rate Arne Slot’s side as favourites to successfully defend their crown.

Reds can rule the roost again

Liverpool were always in command of the Premier League in Slot’s first full season in charge as they claimed the title eased down, finishing ten points clear of nearest pursuers Arsenal.

Resurgent Citizens set to lead the chase

Arsenal have finished as runners-up in the past three seasons and they may have got closer to Liverpool had they not been hampered by injuries to key forwards Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz and distracted by a tilt at the Champions League.

Like Liverpool, Mikel Arteta’s men lost only four of their 38 league games, but they won only nine of their 26 matches against teams above the bottom six and a lack of cutting edge was often their downfall.

Viktor Gyokeres has been signed from Sporting to address their striking woes, but this is a big rise in class up from the Primeira Liga, so it may be City who chase Liverpool home.

Last season was an underwhelming effort from the Citizens, but they had won four Premier League titles in a row prior to that and by the end of the campaign they had got their act firmly together.

Pep Guardiola’s side finished the season unbeaten in ten, winning on seven occasions, and often let down by depth, the signings of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki further bolster their options.

Midfield maestro Rodri missed much of last season through injury, so having him back dictating can only be a positive and they also have the most prolific forward in the league in Erling Haaland.

Chelsea warrant respect on the back of their Club World Cup success, but that extended season has hindered pre-season preparations and they still have 15 points to make up on Liverpool, having won only 20 of their 38 league games last term.

The Blues have a wealth of talent at their disposal, but with their spending power comes pressure and manager Enzo Maresca has to prove he is up to that task.
