Premier League Darts Betting Tips
The Premier League is one of the few crowns not currently being worn by Luke Littler, but the Nuke is just 4/6 to take down the prize he won two years ago.
Luke Humphries picked up the trophy at the O2 last year and Cool Hand was battling Litter in the final of the World Masters last week.
- Gian van Veen to win the Premier League each-way @ 6/1
- Josh Rock to finish bottom of the Premier League @ 9/1
- Michael van Gerwen to finish bottom of the Premier League @ 11/1
League debutant can star
Luke Littler is the current World Masters, UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam, Players Championship Finals and World champion, and the Nuke has strong claims of winning back the Premier League crown he lost to Humphries in last year’s final.
It’s unfathomable to think that Littler will fail to finish in a top-four position and make Finals Night at the O2, which would leave him just two matches away from Premier League glory.
However, offers of 4/6 don’t appear to hold a great deal of value and Gian van Veen has to be considered a viable each-way alternative on his debut in the competition.
The Giant finished runner-up to Littler in the final of the World Championship, and while the European champion wasn’t able to topple the Nuke, Van Veen was superb throughout the Alexandra Palace event.
The Premier League’s 16 weeks of regular season action demands consistency and endurance and Van veen appears to have the required fortitude to maintain a big effort.
- Plenty of promotions for existing customers
- Extra Place races available
Rocky could be knocked out
Josh Rock is another performer making his debut in the Premier League and he could be caught in a hard place.
The competition has a stacked line up with Littler, Humphries, Van Veen, Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Stephen Bunting and Jonny Clayton in opposition, and there is no guarantee of points in any contest.
Rock fell apart when losing to Justin Hood at the World Championship at the turn of the year and that’s a worry in the pressure cauldron of the Premier League.
Bunting and Clayton are the favourites to trail the league, but Rock could feel the Premier League heat and finish bottom of the pile.

Mighty Mike lacking a punch
Another candidate who offers value to finish bottom of the standings is Michael van Gerwen, who was beaten in the first round of last month’s World Masters and failed to impress at the World Championship.
There were a string of early exits from major events last term and there is no doubt that the three-time world champion is no longer the force of old.
MVG isn’t likely to start as an overwhelming favourite against either Jonny Clayton or Stephen Bunting in this year’s Premier League and that suggests that MVG is overpriced to finish bottom of the league.
