Premier League fixtures revealed: Betting sites predict closer race

Updated on

Liverpool may have won the Premier League title at a canter in Arne Slot’s first season, but betting sites are predicting a tighter race next time round.

Premier League betting odds

The Reds, who’ll get their campaign underway by hosting Bournemouth on Friday 15th August, do head the Premier League betting. But they’re weak favourites, only marginally clear of both Arsenal and Man City.

Tottenham and Man Utd are both expected to improve significantly on last year’s league campaigns, although the pair may struggle to secure Champions League football, with five teams shorter than them in the latest Premier League odds.

At the other end of the table, UK betting sites are expecting the three newly promoted teams to find life tough. Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds are all odds-on to go straight back down to the Championship, with Leeds third given the highest chance of surviving at least one season in the top flight.

Premier League opening day fixtures

Liverpool and Bournemouth will get the new Premier League season underway on Friday 15th August. Other highlights from the opening day fixtures include new Manchester City signing Rayan Ait Nouri immediately facing his former club Wolves, and Man Utd hosting Arsenal in the season’s first Super Sunday clash.

Newly promoted Leeds and Sunderland both begin with home fixtures, while Burnley travel to Thomas Frank’s Tottenham. Everton’s opening match at Hill Dickinson Stadium will not be till the second week of the new season, against Brighton.
