Nexo Championship Betting Tips
This week’s event comes five years after the previous tournament, which was staged at Fairmont St Andrews.
The event was won by Spain’s Adrian Otaegui, who beat Matt Wallace by four strokes. Five years ago, the tournament was intended to be a one-off event for the final leg of a second four-week “UK swing”.
However, it was announced in May that it would be revived for 2025 and the field will now head to Trump International Golf Links in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.

Penge ready to catch the eye
England’s Marco Penge looks destined for the PGA Tour in 2026 after a stunning campaign on the DP World Tour this year.
The 27-year-old has already won the Hainan Classic in China this year, and he will have a point to prove after a rare dip in form at the Open Championship, where he missed the cut.
Penge finished 28th at the U.S. PGA Championship before hitting a purple patch on both sides of the Atlantic. He finished 25th at the Soudal Open, 21st at the Italian Open, 11th at the BMW International Open and second at the Scottish Open.
He was outclassed in the final major of the year, but there’s a drop in class for this week’s event and he should be primed to strike this week.
The course features holes that will suit Penge’s huge power off the tee, and if he can keep his ball in play, he has the game to go close this weekend.

- Excellent racing product including BOG available from 8am
- Play Spin ‘n’ Win daily to win free spins and cash prizes
Links test should be no issue for Reitan
Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan will have been pleased to see another Links course stay on the schedule for 2025.
He finished tied 13th at the Genesis Scottish Open and then tied 30th at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
Reitan has not finished outside the top 50 in any of his last nine appearances on the DP World Tour. He won the Soudal Open in Belgium and has finished second in Austria and China and fourth at the BMW International Open.
His accurate play will be crucial this week and his recent form on the coast suggests he has what it takes to get his hands on the trophy.
- Scottish Championship Tip 2: Kristoffer Reitan to win and each-way @ 18/1 with Ladbrokes
- Early payouts with 2up&win
- Well established name you can trust
Home comforts could pay off for Ramsay
Local boy Richie Ramsay will feel right at home in Aberdeenshire this weekend and that could help him land his fifth success on the DP World Tour.
Ramsay missed the cut at the Scottish Open against some of the world’s best players, but he did record two top-20 finishes at the BMW International Open and KLM Open in the week’s leading up to that.
The weather forecast suggests players will need to handle the elements on the coast in true Links conditions, and who better to handle them than a man who grew up around the corner.
- Scottish Championship Tip 3: Richie Ramsay to win and each-way @ 40/1 with bet365
