Brighton vs Spurs

Spurs have started the season well, with three wins and one loss to their name, whilst scoring eight goals and only conceding one. This sees them sit third in the division. Brighton have been very inconsistent this campaign, drawing one, losing two and winning one of their four Premier League games. Spurs have lost their last two games against Brighton, but that was with Ange Postecoglou in charge and not Thomas Frank. Frank has added resilience to this Spurs side and they look far better defensively. With the poor form of Brighton, it looks likely that the away side will come away with the victory in this match.

Manchester United vs Chelsea

Manchester United looked poor in their 3-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend and this will give Chelsea a lot of confidence. The Blues weren’t at their best in their last Premier League match as they drew 2-2 to Brentford, but they are showing a lot more quality than the Red Devils this campaign, and they are yet to lose in the Premier League. Man United may gain some confidence from the fact that Chelsea had a tough game in Europe midweek against Bayern Munich and ended up losing, but defensively, Ruben Amorim’s side look poor and with the manager not wanting to change tactics, we see them losing.

Fulham vs Brentford

We are treated to another London derby this week as Fulham face Brentford and this should be a game in which we see a fair few goals. Fulham have a very good record against Brentford lately. The home side are undefeated in their last three matches against the Bees, winning two and drawing one. Fulham have four points from their home matches this season, whilst Brentford have lost both of their away matches in the division. We expect the scoreline to be close, with Fulham picking up the win on the day.

Sunderland vs Aston Villa

This game would have been predicted a lot differently at the start of the season, but with Sunderland looking strong and Aston Villa looking poor, we are backing the recently promoted side to pick up the win. Sunderland have played two Premier League matches at home, scoring five goals, conceding just one and winning both games. Villa have drawn one and lost one away from home and they are currently 19th in the division, with no wins. They have also scored zero goals in the Premier League so far and they look short of confidence and quality at this current time. Sunderland look good and will be feeling a lot of confidence after their draw away from home against Crystal Palace.

Our Prediction: Sunderland 1-0 Aston Villa

Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Bournemouth are having a fantastic start to the season and currently sit fourth in the Premier League, with three wins and one loss. Newcastle have been slightly struggling when it comes to getting the wins over the line, but they have looked strong defensively. They have five points so far out of a possible 12. This should be a very entertaining game and we think it will be one in which both teams play well but fail to beat their opponent. Two of their last three Premier League matches have ended in a draw and we are backing the same outcome to happen this weekend.

Arsenal vs Manchester City

The biggest Premier League match of the weekend sees Arsenal take on Man City. City may have picked up a dominant win over Manchester United last weekend, but the outcome would have likely not been the same if they had faced tougher opposition. Pep Guardiola’s side currently sit eighth, with two wins and two losses so far. Arsenal look a lot stronger, despite their loss to Liverpool a few weeks back. Mikel Arteta’s side have won three and lost one and currently sit second in the division. With Arsenal at home and looking strong, we are backing them to pick up the victory over their rivals.
