Super 6 Matches | Luke’s Predictions | Jamie Carragher’s Predictions |
Arsenal vs West Ham | 2-0 | 2-0 |
Man Utd vs Sunderland | 2-1 | 1-1 |
Chelsea vs Liverpool | 1-3 | 1-2 |
Everton vs Crystal Palace | 1-1 | 1-1 |
Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest | 1-0 | 2-1 |
Brentford vs Man City | 1-3 | 1-4 |
Arsenal vs West Ham
West Ham do have a new manager now and have opted for the more defensive coach in Nuno Espirito Santo, but Arsenal should have far too much quality for the Hammers on this occasion. Mikel Arteta’s side are looking good and are now fully in the title race, so they will want to make a statement in this upcoming fixture at the Emirates. The Gunners have been ruthless against opposition at the Emirates this season. They have won 5-0 against Leeds and 3-0 against Nottingham Forest and we see them picking up another comfortable victory this weekend.
Manchester United vs Sunderland
This is probably one of the most confusing fixtures to try and predict at Manchester United are 14th, while newly promoted Sunderland are 5th. Despite this, we are backing Ruben Amorim’s side to pick up the win at Old Trafford. They have a knack of beating the newly promoted teams and although Sunderland look like they will comfortably stay up, this fixture will be hard for them. Away from home, Sunderland have only scored one goal and we think this could be the issue for them again.
Chelsea vs Liverpool
One of the biggest matches of the weekend sees Chelsea take on Liverpool. Chelsea are currently on awful form and have lost their last two Premier League games to Manchester United and Brighton. They now face Liverpool who need to get back to winning ways after losing to Crystal Palace. Liverpool had won their five Premier League matches before last weekend and their recent loss has given Arsenal a chance at the top of the table. We think Liverpool will be back to their best against a Blues side who have injuries and suspensions.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are the only undefeated team left in the Premier League, but fans of the South London club will be fearful of Everton as the Toffees have been somewhat of a bogey club for the Eagles over the years. Palace haven’t won against Everton away from home since 2014, so it is a tough one for them. Oliver Glasner’s side are undefeated in 18 games, whilst Everton are hoping they can challenge the top half this season.
Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest
Newcastle take on Nottingham Forest this weekend in a must-win match for both sides. Newcastle sit 15th, whilst Nottingham Forest are 17th and they both only have one win each this season. Ange Postecoglou has lost twice and drawn once in the Premier League since he became manager of Nottingham Forest. He has failed to beat Sunderland and Burnley, and with this in mind, we are seeing the misery continue for the away side this weekend. Newcastle have only had three games at home, narrowly losing to Arsenal and Liverpool and beating Wolves, and we see them picking up another win at St.James’ Park.
Brentford vs Manchester City
Brentford have been strong at home this season, winning against Aston Villa and Manchester United and drawing to Chelsea. The home matches don’t get easier for them as they now face a Man City side in good form. Pep Guardiola’s side have won four of their last five games, drawing the other one. They also thrashed Burnley 5-1 last week and with Erling Haaland on top form, we can’t see past the away side winning this match. Brentford have conceded 11 goals in their six matches this season and we think their defence will struggle against Man City.
Sky Super 6 More Ways to Win – 100 Club
There are more ways to win prizes than ever on Sky Super 6 this season. One of their exciting ways to win is the 100 Club. 100 players will receive a prize if they have correctly predicted a shocking scoreline. An example of this would be if people correctly predicted West Ham to beat Arsenal by a convincing score this week. Be sure to keep an eye out on what prizes are available as they change each week for the 100 Club.
