Chelsea vs Everton
Chelsea and Everton are only separated by one point, so this upcoming match is vital for both sides. Chelsea need to get back to winning ways after a draw and a defeat in their last two and we are backing them to do so against the Toffees. David Moyes’ side have four wins in their last five, but a trip to Stamford Bridge rarely ends well for Everton. They only have one win in their last six against Chelsea and we see this poor form against Enzo Maresca’s side continuing this weekend.
Our Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Everton
Liverpool vs Brighton
Liverpool vs Brighton is one of the toughest matches to call, but we are backing the home side despite their poor form and despite the fact that Arne Slot looks to have fallen out with legend Mohamed Salah. Brighton only have two wins away from home in the Premier League and have only managed one win against Liverpool in their last five matches against them. Liverpool have stopped the poor rut and have managed to be undefeated in their last three league matches, and we are backing them to pick up a win in an entertaining match this weekend.
Burnley vs Fulham
If Burnley are to have any hope of staying in the Premier League then this match is one where they’ll be targeting a win. Seven of their 10 points this season have been picked up at Turf Moor, and they can add to that against a Fulham team who struggle badly on the road. The Cottagers boast a single win from their seven away fixtures so far, and Burnley have been something of a bogey side for them over the years, with The Clarets unbeaten in their last 29 home league games against Marco Silva’s side. We’re backing the home team to take three vital points by virtue of a single goal.
Crystal Palace vs Man City
Crystal Palace should be a very exciting matchup as second place takes on fourth. Man City are getting into top form at the perfect time, especially with Arsenal dropping points. They have won four of their last five Premier League games and will be hoping to continue their title challenge, but it won’t be easy against a motivated Crystal Palace side who are proving the doubters wrong this season. One thing the Eagles will be positive about is Man City’s away form. Pep Guardiola’s side have only won three of their seven away matches in the league. With both sides playing well, we are predicting a competitive draw.
Brentford vs Leeds
Just four points separate Brentford and Leeds, but delving deeper into both teams’ home form tells a different story. Brentford are impressive in front of their own fans, with their scalps this season including Newcastle, Liverpool and Man Utd. Leeds also perform best at home, but they’ve lost every one of their away matches bar Wolves. We’re therefore expecting The Bees to open up some breathing space in the fight for survival.
Our Prediction: Brentford 2-0 Leeds
Sunderland vs Newcastle
One of the most anticipated matches in years takes place this weekend as Sunderland face Newcastle in the Premier League for the first time since 2016. The huge Tyne-Wear derby should be a great match, and with Sunderland in the top half of the division and Newcastle only losing one match in their last five, it’s bound to be a match full of top quality. Sunderland have only lost once in their last 10 appearances against each other, and it will be tough for Newcastle away from home. With so much on the line and everything taken into account, we are backing a draw between the two sides.
Our Prediction: Sunderland 2-2 Newcastle
