St Helens vs Hull KR Predictions and Betting Tips: Saints to triumph in top-two tussle

Updated on

Get three St Helens vs Hull KR predictions and betting tips from our rugby league expert before Friday’s 20:00 Super League clash (7/03/2025).

St Helens and Hull KR will both put their perfect winning records on the line when they meet at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night.

Saints look to be the team to beat in this early stage of the season but Hull KR will provide their sternest test of the campaign so far.

St Helens vs Hull KR Betting Tips

  • St Helens -10.5 handicap @ 11/10 with bet365
  • Tristan Sailor anytime tryscorer @ 2/1 with bet365
  • Joe Burgess anytime tryscorer @ 2/1 with bet365

Saints can march on

St Helens have made a flying start to the 2025 Super League campaign, winning their opening three games of the season against Salford Red Devils, Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity.

While Salford fielded a heavily-weakened side for their game, the Saints have still managed to score 154 points in those first three outings, while conceding only 12.

Given their ability with and without the ball, St Helens look capable of covering the handicap against a Hull KR side who have also faced Salford, Castleford and Wakefield in their first three games.

The Robins required much more effort in getting over the line in those matches, conceding 30 points across the three games.

With home advantage and with Hull KR missing influential second-row and goal-kicker Rhyse Martin to a serious thigh injury, Saints to cover the handicap appeals.

St Helens vs Hull KR Tip 1: St Helens -10.5 handicap @ 11/10 with bet365

Sailor to take some stopping

Saints look to have a talented player on their hands in the form of Tristan Sailor, who made the move from NRL giants Brisbane Broncos in the off-season.

Sailor scored four tries in his Super League debut against the Red Devils, although Salford were far from their strongest.

Sailor can add another try to his tally to stay at the top of the competition’s leading tryscorer standings.

St Helens vs Hull KR Tip 2: Tristan Sailor anytime tryscorer @ 2/1 with bet365

Burgess to be thorn in Saints’ side

While Hull KR might well end up on the losing side on Friday, they still have the attack to cause St Helens problems and former Wigan Warriors winger Joe Burgess is good value to go over for the Robins.

The Robins earned a 42-6 win in their last encounter with St Helens last season and Burgess scored four tries at the Totally Wicked Stadium that day.

Burgess has already scored three times this season and is a tempting selection in the anytime tryscorer market.

St Helens vs Hull KR Tip 3: Joe Burgess anytime tryscorer @ 2/1 with bet365
