St. Jude Championship Betting Tips
With Rory McIlroy deciding to skip this event, a field of 69, headed by world number one Scottie Scheffler, will battle for the title and a top-50 spot in the standings, which will secure a place in next week’s BMW Championship.

Fitzpatrick to continue push of FedEx rankings
Heading into this week sitting 41st in the FedEx Cup standings, Matt Fitzpatrick is on course to qualify for the BMW Championship where the top 50 will battle it out for a place at the Tour Championship.
The Englishman will have his eyes on a trip to East Lake in the season-decider and a positive performance at TPC Southwind would improve his chances of making this dream a reality.
After a slow start to the campaign, Fitzpatrick has hit his stride over recent months and his form over his last five starts reads T17-T8-T4-T4-T8, with those top-five efforts coming at the Scottish Open and the Open Championship.
A solid tied-eighth result at last week’s Wyndham Championship has kept the momentum going and Fitzpatrick, who has two top-fives and a top-10 at this course in six attempts, could be set for another big performance.

English in line for second Memphis success
Harris English triumphed at TPC Southwind on his debut in 2013, winning the St. Jude Classic, and he has enjoyed his returns to the course with a top-10 in 2017 and a fourth-place effort in 2021.
The 36-year-old won for the fifth time on the PGA Tour in January, landing the Farmers Insurance, and he has had two near-misses in the Majors with a tied-second at the PGA Championship and a runner-up spot at the Open.
With English currently holding the sixth and final automatic place for USA’s Ryder Cup team, there is extra incentive for him to put in a solid showing and he could impress once again in Memphis.

Gotterup to shine on TPC Southwind debut
It has all clicked for Chris Gotterup over the last month or so with his superb victory at the Scottish Open followed by a third-place finish at the Open – his best Major result.
The American was tied-10th last time out at the 3M Open and that impressive form has seen him climb to 22nd in the FedEx Cup rankings, putting him in a strong position to reach the Tour Championship.
He has also thrown his name into the hat for a potential captain’s pick for the Ryder Cup and a strong showing in Memphis, and the last two play-off events, would give Keegan Bradley something to think about.
While Gotterup will be taking on TPC Southwind for the first time this week, his game looks suited to this course. He is fourth in greens in regulation and ninth in scrambling, two areas that could prove crucial to success.
It’s also notable that Gotterup is seventh in par-four scoring, which bodes well given there are 12 to tackle around this layout.
