The Apprentice 2026: Betting odds & latest news

The 20th series of The Apprentice got underway with the usual mix of Alan Sugar puns and bumbling decision-making from his prospective partners, before two of the 20 candidates were shown the door in a double firing.

Find out more about the show, including who are the early favourites to win The Apprentice this season.

The Apprentice Latest News

The first episode of series 20 of The Apprentice saw the number of candidates increased from the usual 18 to 20. Alan Sugar then announced the first task would take place in Hong Kong, with the teams given a shopping list of items to find and barter for.

It’s fair to say that neither team covered themselves in glory. Both teams failed to collect even half of the items they were tasked with finding, but the girls fared worse and were therefore faced with the prospect of the boardroom.

Predictably, project manager Nikki was the first to depart, with Georgina next out, for ultimately being too nice and refusing to throw her teammates to the wolves.

The Apprentice Betting Odds 2026

At this early stage, our hypothetical betting odds for The Apprentice are incredibly open, with plenty of twists and turns still to come.

Our two to follow most closely are Karishma and Tanmay.

Tanmay impressed with his early negotiation skills, and his business plan for an AI-powered loyalty platform comes across as a potentially shrewd investment in this day and age.

Karishma did well to secure a bargain deal in the opening episode, and an investment to elevate her skincare business is something that could interest Alan Sugar.

Our two rank outsiders are Kieran and Levi for very different reasons. Kieran may have been the winning project manager, but it was more by default than design, so he looks to be on borrowed time. As for Levi, offensive views have been found on his social media account, and so it would be a suicidal move for Alan Sugar to partner with him.
