Wolves vs Liverpool betting tips
Our betting expert has three Wolves vs Liverpool tips for Friday, March 6 in the FA Cup at Molineux (kick-off, 8pm). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
- Mateus Mane to have over 1.5 shots @ Evs
- Liverpool to win & both teams to score @ 21/20
- Bet Builder – Dominik Szboszlai to have a shot on target, Hugo Ekitike to score and Andre to commit two or more fouls @ 8/1
Mateus can be the main Mane for Wolves
There has generally not been much for Wolves fans to enthuse about this season, but one player who has caught the eye has been 18-year-old Portuguese forward Mateus Mane, who looks to have a bright future.
The teenager has become a regular in the starting line-up and, while he has made 11 appearances since his most recent goal in the 1-1 draw with Everton, that has not stopped him trying his luck, even against some of the top-flight’s big boys.
Mane has had at least two shots in six of his last nine outings, which is not a bad return for a young player in a struggling team and he can eclipse that figure again when he faces Liverpool on Friday night.

Reds should gain revenge for league loss
It has been a difficult season for Wolves and the Championship beckons for the Midlands club, but they have shown a real spark in the last few weeks and Liverpool can expect another tricky game at Molineux.
It is just three days since the Old Golds claimed a 2-1 win over the Reds in the league and Rob Edwards’ side have also beaten Aston Villa and drawn with Premier League leaders Arsenal in the last few weeks at their Black Country base.
Arne Slot’s side can put their quest for a top-four spot on the back burner for this weekend and they are unlikely to sit back against a team they would still expect to beat.
They had won four straight games before their midweek reverse and can get back to winning ways here, but Wolves won’t lie down so expect the home team to also find the net in this FA Cup fifth-round tie.

Reds duo to test home keeper
Three elements can be combined for a Bet Builder that would pay out at 8/1 if it were successful.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has had a shot on target in nine of his last 11 appearances for the Reds and he can test the Wolves keeper again on Sunday, while Hugo Ekitike is having a strong first season in England and it would not be a surprise if he found the net for the 18th time this season.
Wolves midfielder Andre can expect to be in the thick of the action.
He has picked up nine yellow cards this season and has committed multiple fouls in five of his last eight games, so he could be penalised more than once in the Molineux showdown.
