Eubank may struggle to live up to his billing
Chris Eubank Jr’s upcoming clash with Conor Benn has been dominating the headlines, but before that huge fight, his cousin Harlem Eubank takes on Tyrone McKenna.
Eubank has been touted as a potential challenger to some of the welterweight division’s top fighters, but that looks a little premature.
Of course, looking at Eubank’s record of 20-0, compared to McKenna’s tally of 24-5-1, there should be only one winner in Brighton on Friday night. However, the Brighton boxer’s form is paper-thin and there is little in the way of competent opposition on his record.
The 31-year-old’s last four victories have come against Nurali Erdogan, Timo Schwarzkopf, Ishmael Ellis and Miguel Cesario Antin, and that is low-level form.
Eubank has not dazzled in those bouts and McKenna may at least be able to make Friday night’s contest a competitive affair.
The Belfast-based boxer has five defeats on his record, but those losses have come against Mohamed Mimoune, Lewis Crocker, Regis Prograis, Ohara Davies and Jack Catterall, who are all capable operators.
The Mighty Celt has failed to hear the final bell in only two of his five defeats and Eubank is not a big-punching welterweight. Backing the fight to go the distance at 11/10 looks the best bet for the Brighton bout.

Price right for a knockout success
Natasha Jonas has been a fantastic champion, but all things come to an end and the 40-year-old’s time at the top of the sport may be coming to an end.
The Merseyside fighter got the better of Mikaela Mayer last year, but another 13 months have passed since that success and Jonas benefited from a pretty generous decision from the judges.
Lauren Price is an Olympic gold medallist who is firmly on the rise and last year’s stoppage victory over Jessica McCaskill suggests the Welsh boxer can reach the summit of the paid ranks.
Price doesn’t have spectacular one-punch power, but she has the skill and speed to overwhelm the veteran Jonas, who is 10 years older, and the southpaw looks a worthwhile bet to claim a stoppage success.
