Viktor Hovland is likely to be one of the leading European hopes for this year’s US Masters.
The Norwegian was key to Europe’s Ryder Cup win, and he’ll be hoping he can recapture his best form, having coming 13th at the Genesis Open earlier this month. Hovland finished seven shots off the lead in that tournament, which was eventually won by Hideki Matsuyama, who won in impressive style in that week of golfing action.
If Hovland is anywhere near his best in the Masters, then expect him to be in serious contention to win this year’s tournament, and so it’s difficult to look away from the 18/1 price that Betfair are offering on hime to come out on top.
Matt Fitzpatrick Each-Way @ 160/1 with BetMGM
Fitzpatrick was another player that played an important role at the Ryder Cup for Team Europe, but he’s since found it tough to perform to a high standard on the PGA Tour. The Englishman missed the cut at the Genesis Open in February, and came tied 15th in the Phoenix Open, so he’s been somewhat ‘hit or miss’ in recent months.
He won the US Open in 2022, and it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see him recapture his best form which saw him win that tournament. At a price of 160/1 on BetMGM, he’s worth an each-way bet, and he could surprise a few if he can find his confidence again.
