Grand National Favourites
Our team of betting experts have complied a short list of the 2025 Grand National favourites with bet365.
Intense Raffles – A second place finish at Fairyhouse last month has seen many back Intense Raffles as we get closer to the 2025 Grand National. The 7-year-old is one of the favourites and if they can race at their best then they’re a serious contender to win the 2025 Grand National. Do have a look round with other betting sites for the best price on Intense Raffles, as prices are varying with different betting sites to provide some nice value for punters.
Stumptown – Stumptown caught the eye for all the right reasons when they won the Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month, in one of the best performances of that week. They are in great form having won their last four races and have proven that they can perform to the highest standard in some of the biggest races in the UK. It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see this price drop further as we edge closer to the 2025 Grand National getting underway.
Iroko – A second-place finish at Kelso was encouraging considering this horse was beaten by the ever impressive Grey Dawning. There’s certainly positives to take for John P McManus who owns this horse, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Iroko near the leaders of this race if anywhere near their best.
I Am Maximus – This horse doesn’t need much of an introduction, having won last year’s Grand National. However, we’ve not seen the quality from this horse so far this season, with an eighth-place finish at Leopardstown in February not being convincing at all, which came after being pulled up in a race in late December. However, the bookies are still keeping their cards close to their chest here, and aren’t dropping the price too much on I Am Maximus.
Grand National Betting Tips
Below, you’ll find our betting tips for the 2025 Grand National, and if you’re keen to find out more about Grand National outsiders, then head over to our dedicated page.
Vanillier – Vanillier won at Punchestown earlier this season which impressed plenty of punters, and a handy showing at this year’s Cheltenham Festival will only shorten the price on this horse heading towards the Grand National. If it hadn’t of been for a costly error early into the race at Cheltenham, then they probably would have won the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase, which was eventually won by the well-fancied Stumptown.
Hewick – Hewick has been the main market mover in the last few weeks leading up to the 2025 Grand National, and it’s understandable as to why that is. Hewick won the Jimmy Neville Memorial Hurdle at Thurles last month, where they beat the likes of Asterion Forlonge and Kilcruit to name a few. With a change of trainer before that race as well, it’ll be interesting to see whether John Joseph Hanlon can get the best out of Hewick once again on Saturday.
Stumptown – There will be some questions as to how quick Stumptown will be in this race, having not had as much time to rest compared to some of the other horses in this field. Stumptown’s record speaks for itself though, and with four wins in a row, it’s not at all surprising to see them emerge as one of the favourites to win this year’s Grand National.
