Inothewayurthinkin denied Galopin Des Champs a hat-trick of wins in the Cheltenham Gold Cup at day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival, with a hugely impressive performance in the feature race of the final day of racing action.

1:20pm – Poniros stuns at 100/1
Poniros produced one of the shocks of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, as they won at a price of 100/1 with CopyBet. Lulamba finished second after a strong run in the home straight, but Jonjo O’Neill swept through late on to pick up the win in the opener on day 4.
This was Poniros’ debut over hurdles, and it certainly was a positive start in the Triumph Hurdle, as they beat the favourite East India Dock, much to the delight of Willie Mullins.

2pm – Kargese’s jumping proves too strong
Despite being keen early on in the race, Kargese got the job done in the County Handicap Hurdle at a price of 11/4 with JeffBet, who are one of the standout new betting sites to consider for horse racing betting. Dinoblue went one better than last year’s Cheltenham Festival, as she won the Mares Chase in the third race of Friday afternoon. Allegorie De Vassy was the pace setter in this race, and was alongside Dinoblue in the home straight, but fell at the final hurdle.
Dinoblue drifted out to 6/4 with talkSPORT Bet before the race got underway, in what was another eye-catching win for the punters against the bookmakers. Brides Hill and Shecouldbeanything finished in second and third respectively, but Dinoblue was the runaway winner, and Willie Mullins will be delighted to see his horse go one better than last year’s race, after being beaten by Limerick Lace.

3:20pm – Jasmin De Vaux edges out The Big Westerner
Paul Townend picked up another win to his name this week, as Jasmin De Vaux edged out The Big Westerner to claim the win at a price of 7/1 with TangoBet.
The mare was ridden well from the back of the field, and just picked apart the rest of the field from this outside, which avoided traffic that The Big Westerner was caught up in traffic on the near side. Inothewayurthinkin clinched the Cheltenham Gold Cup at an SP of 13/2 with Midnite. Galopin Des Champs was denied the hat-trick of Cheltenham Gold Cup wins, as Inothewayurthinkin pulled out a hugely impressive run over the last two fences to clinch the win.
Galopin Des Champs struggled to assert his dominance on this race, and finished second, with Gentlemansgame finishing an impressive third at 40/1 with Midnite before the race got underway.
The race consolidated Inothewayurthinkin’s position as Grand National favourite, with his odds to win the big race at Aintree crashing from 8/1 to just 3/1.

4:40pm – Wonderwall fights off late challenge from
Wonderwall fought off Its On The Line to win the St. James’s Place Festival Hunters Chase at a price of 28/1 with BetMGM. It was a breathtaking finish in this race, as Its On The Line almost caught Wonderwall late on, but the 28/1 shot held on brilliantly.
Willitgoahead, Music Drive, and Shearer made up the top-five in this one, in what was one of the most entertaining races on day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival.

Wodhooh won the final race of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, as they won by over four lengths, in what was a hugely impressive showing in the Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle.
