Man United vs Aston Villa Betting tips
Manchester United host Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday 8 November, with kick-off at 4.30pm.
- Nicolas Jackson to score first (9/2)
- Both teams to score, over 3.5 goals and over 8.5 corners (7/2)
- Man United to win and Matheus Cunha to score anytime (4/1)
Jackson Primed To Pounce On Shaky United
United have yet to keep a clean sheet at home in the Premier League this season, and they will also be without the suspended Lisandro Martinez on Sunday. Roma were two goals up inside 17 minutes at Old Trafford on Tuesday, so Villa have reason to expect an early chance. Nicolas Jackson has five Premier League goals this season and scored first in each of Villa’s last two league games, against Man City inside six minutes and Fulham last Saturday.
Villa have the pace to attack United on the break, and Unai Emery has said time and consistency will turn Jackson into one of the league’s best strikers. At 9/2 to score first, he’s worth backing to open the scoring again.

Leaky Defences Point To A Wild Match
Neither defence has been watertight. United have conceded 15 league goals and Villa 13, with United’s league games producing 25 goals and Villa’s 23 across nine matches. The last meeting at Old Trafford finished 3-1 to United, and Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Roma was another open game.
United were winning more corners than any other side in the league after eight games, at around six a game, and they will be on the front foot at home. If Villa break at pace, that should mean chances at both ends and plenty of corners.

Cunha Can Fire United To Much-Needed Win
Matheus Cunha scored twice in three minutes to turn the Roma game around from 2-0 down, before being sent off in stoppage time. The red card came in the Champions League, so he is available for Sunday. Bruno Fernandes said the win should be a turning point, and Cunha is in the form to help make it one.
United have won their last two home games against Villa, 2-0 in May 2025 and 3-1 in March, while Villa are coming off a long trip back from Barcelona. Carrick needs a league win, and with United winless in the Premier League since the Ipswich game in late August, this home match against Villa is his best chance to ease the pressure on his job.
