Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the Super Bowl LIX half-time show, marking the second time he’ll be appearing at the NFL’s yearly magnum opus. The Compton-born artist performed alongside Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Mary J Blige but he’ll be the headliner in New Orleans in 2025.
Lamar is widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of his generation and has won 17 Grammys. In 2024, his diss track on fellow rapper Drake, called “Not Like Us” has garnered widespread acclaim and attention. Headlining a Super Bowl halftime show is another feather in Lamar’s cap.
Halftime shows headliners are known to bring out guest performers and the music experts at MyBettingSites have created hypothetical odds for artists who could feature alongside Lamar.
The Favourites
SZA – 4/1
A longtime collaborator of Lamar and also part of the Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) crew, the likelihood of SZA performing in New Orleans is very high. The duo has collaborated seven times and have given hits like “All The Stars” and “Doves In The Wind”
Baby Keem – 4/1
Lamar’s cousin and another TDE member, Baby Keem is also high up in the list when it comes to performing at the Caesars Superdome.
Dr Dre – 5/1
Lamar’s mentor shared the stage with him in 2022 and it would not be a surprise if he does it again in 2025.
Rihanna – 5/1
She headlined the Super Bowl LVII half-time show but that doesn’t mean she’s not up there to collaborate with Lamar when he headlines it in 2025.
The Controversial Ones
Drake – 8/1
The Kendrick-Drake beef has been hip-hop’s biggest talking point in 2024. “Not Like Us’” provocative lyrics directly targeted Drake which makes this collaboration unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility. If the Canadian rapper ends up coming out to perform with Lamar in 2025, it will surely break the internet, and the winner of Super Bowl LIX will be an afterthought.
J.Cole – 6/1
J.Cole infamously released a diss track on both Kendrick and Drake, titled “7 Minute Drill” before taking it down. He’s not beefing with Kendrick but him coming out to perform in New Orleans will be controversial for sure.
Kanye West – 15/1
Yeezy and Kendrick have collaborated before but Kanye’s unhinged behaviour makes this one very unlikely as no sponsor would want him on stage.
The Longshots
Taylor Swift – 20/1
She’s the biggest pop star in the world and it is highly unlikely that she’ll share the stage with Kendrick. Stylistically there’s no match too. But if the Kansas City Chiefs make it to New Orleans, what’s stopping Taylor Swift from making an appearance on stage and motivating Travis Kelce?
U2 – 30/1
The Irish rock band headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2002 in New Orleans. Will they return to The Crescent City? Don’t count on it.
Oasis – 50/1
The British rock band’s reunion caught the world by surprise and broke Ticketmaster. Will Super Bowl LIX be a piece of their reunion tour? Put this one in the not happening jar as Lamar and Oasis are worlds apart.
